Wow, President Donald J. Trump has announced via a long post on Truth Social that he is withdrawing his endorsement for Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who Trump has been a major supporter of since she was initially elected to the House in 2021. In the post, Trump calls Greene, “Wacky Marjorie” and states that all she does is “COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN,” adding “She has told many people that she is upset that I don't return her phone calls anymore… but I can't take a ranting Lunatic's call every day.”
All of this comes as Greene has become increasingly critical of decisions made by President Trump and his administration over the last few months, specifically regarding his continued support for Israel and the refusal by the Trump Administration to release files related to convicted sex offender and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Surprisingly, Greene has become a leading voice in the small group of House Republicans who have refused to withdraw their calls and support for a bill directing the full release of the Epstein Files, joining Democrats and four other Republicans earlier this week in a petition to release the files, which finally reached enough signatures Tuesday and will be voted on next week by the House.
