It feels like Optimism and Cosmos are becoming more similar. In the future, there may be more chains developed based on OP, but it won't bring much additional revenue to OP. Large projects either choose to launch their own chain or deploy on the Ethereum mainnet, rather than prioritizing L2. Currently, L2 is more suitable for dedicated chains, while the general chain ecosystem seems a bit challenging. Right now, only Arbitrum and Base have better ecosystems in L2; Arb has some good DeFi projects due to its first-mover advantage, while Base focuses on the creator ecosystem. Looking at Hyperliquid @HyperliquidX, which specializes in DeFi, and Tempo @tempo, which focuses on payments, both illustrate this point.
